Using the £599.99 example from the above screenshot, if someone searched for items and that item appeared in the results as Sponsored, then the buyer clicked on the item and bought it, I would pay those additional promoted listing fees of 5% – in this case an extra £30 in fees. The next example shows my ad rate is set at 5% but suggested is only 3.7% – this probably means my item is being shown to a LOT of people as the ad rate is set too high. If I set the ad rate to 7.5% instead, it could increase the items visibility. This means that my item may not be given total priority to appear at the top of the search results.
